Congressman Jones wants to limit your campaign contributions to $100. He sponsored the Fair Elections Act (HR 1826) in the House in 2009.  HR 1826 is now getting renewed attention due to the recent Supreme Court decision. This measure is supported by Moveon.Org and the SEIU and many other progressive organizations.   It’s other sponsors include:  House Democratic Caucus Chairman John Larson (D-CT),  Assistant Senate Majority Leader Dick Durbin (D-IL), Senator Arlen Specter (D-PA).  Senator Durbin proudly boasts of this bi-partisan bill on his website but oddly, it is nowhere to be found on Jones’ website.

This is a blatant attempt by Progressives to rig the system in their favor.  Obama used the small dollar donations to fuel his campaign.  The Progressives are masters of this type of campaign funding tactic so they want to make it law.  Jones is a willing dupe.  Tell Walter Jones that you oppose this legislation.
